Teaming up to shape the future
How Just Software leverages Crayon's ISV Innovation Hub to meet growth plans for Innovative Solutions in Cloud and Client Authentication
Families often influence our choice of careers. For Nicolai Petri, Managing Director of dynamic startup Just Software based in Copenhagen, the arrival of a Commodore Vic 20 in his home at age five sparked a lifelong interest in computers and software development. Being one of six siblings also developed a sense of urgency, along with, as he readily admits, an impatience to achieve.
Watching my brothers and sisters doing stuff with the Commodore sparked an immediate interest in IT

"But what's always been important for me is solving problems. Creativity to fix customer problems is essential – I always want to do things better and differently. Remote access and public key infrastructure (PKI) is one of those challenges," Petri continued.
Just Software’s products – EasySCEP and EasyRadius – use Microsoft Intune to deliver certificate issuance and client authentication, something that even Microsoft does not currently offer. EasySCEP automates setting up cloud-based PKI, enabling customers to go from registration to issuing x.509 certificates in just 30 minutes, all with no servers to maintain.
EasyRadius works seamlessly alongside EasySCEP, providing certificate-based authentication to Wi-Fi, 802.1x, and Virtual Private Networks for Windows, IOS, or Android Intune clients.
An informal meeting at a Microsoft event led to Just Software partnering with Crayon. "I immediately felt that Crayon had a genuine interest in the challenges we faced as a small startup," said Petri.
Importantly, Crayon bought its sales and marketing expertise and an extensive customer base. Like me, they were impatient to get on and produce results, and we're already seeing positive outcomes from our first go-to-market workshop

Jacob Skaue, Partner Relationship Manager for Crayon, said, “What we immediately recognized in Just Software was its massive potential. Consequently, we wanted to invest in the future of this small Independent Software Vendor, even though we knew the partnership might take a few years to generate a return.
In this case, Crayon’s Innovation Hub is a perfect match to help scale Just Software and onboard new customers quickly, something that I know Nicolai values

"We expect them to become a major player in cloud and client authentication, with us giving them better access to the Intune team at Microsoft," said Skaue.
Petri continued: "We need potential customers to know what we have, and that's where Crayon can really help," he said.
This partnership enables us to concentrate on future products, such as our Azure toolkit that brings insights and instant value to our customers, while generating new sales to meet our growth aspirations. Ultimately, it's all about delivering innovative solutions that make our customers happy
